Opa! It's All Greek to Me! Researching Your Greek Ancestors

Opa! It is a marvelous time to be Greek! The Greek Genealogical Odyssey starts here. Conducting Greek genealogy can be challenging even for those who can speak and read Greek. Many first- and second-generation Greek immigrants do not know their grandparents’ names or even the exact village where their parents originated. Attendees will learn the first steps to conducting Greek research and what resources are available here in America, which will unlock records in Greece. The lecture, Opa! It's All Greek to Me! Researching Your Greek Ancestors will be helpful for both individuals who emigrated to the United States post World War II and for those who have ancestors who emigrated before World War II.
